Not to be outdone, another little bastard of a bee stung
Flashy Saturday night, while he was relaxing on the couch. Luckily, it was
through the shirt, so apart from the incredible pain that men feel in these
circumstances, he also survived. Now,
research tells us that these bees, focussed on buzzing about and not sleepily
collecting pollen, are guard or stressed bees. Not to worry though, Flashy has strategically
placed four reinforced fly swats around the house, all within easy reach should
they come back.

A croissant and jam for breakfast and a coffee on a little
coffee machine that we got at E.Leclerc, on special for 66€. You may scoff, and it is a bit
fragile, but with careful, slow moves, it pumps out 9 bar of steam and makes a
good espresso, albeit only one at a time. A milk frother was 35€, so we figured we’d get both in
one unit. The brand you ask? Elsay. Probably made in China or Turkey or Poland
or all three, no one is sure and it doesn’t say on the box.
After that and a little gardening, we headed to a little village (aren’t they all!) about 12 minutes away called Chervettes. Here, at a large house/gite/reception space/gardens, we wandered around flower and plant and producer stalls and some artists work in warm sunshine. There was also a French BBQ. A tad up market from Bunnings, where for 13€ we got a fat sausage, 8 small boiled and roasted potatoes, a lump of sourdough bread, mustard, a draft beer and a glass of Rose. Consumed in Spring sunshine in the garden with other like minded Frenchies. Calm, relaxed and very friendly.
We bought a jar of honey, some sheep’s milk cheeses and a
bag of green lentils, all from local producers. And on the way out, a delicious
sheep’s milk ice cream, which we dribbled with our honey and ate standing under
a shady tree.
Lady P's ANZAC biscuits.
Our supplies from Chervettes.

I recently sent you a Whatsapp message cause I google wouldn't let me send a message on here, well somewhat magically google has now seen fit to give me access. Following is a copy of the message I sent on Whatsapp. "I have been reading your blog - to prove it I know that you have both been bitten by bees and you soldiered on with your usual stoicism. I have been unable to leave comments on the blog some sort of issue with google. Anyway I'm pleased to see that you are both showing your usual restraint with food and drink." And Flashy you seem to be showing your usual restraint with strenuous exercise.
